With only a few keypresses you can update the firmware of your PTCarPhone 3 without removing
the device out of your car and shipping.
Get the new firmware in three steps
Note the version number of the present firmware. You can find the version number via MENU > SETTINGS > DEVICE > VERSION > PTC.
Start the update via MENU > SETTINGS > DEVICE > VERSION > PTC > UPDATE and entering of the handset code/device code (Default: "0000"). The PTCarPhone 3 establishes a GPRS connection and checks whether a more up-to-date firmware version is available. If a more up-to-date firmware version is available it will bw automatically downloaded and installed onto your device (a progress bar will appear on the display).
After successfull installation of the new firmware version the device restarts
automatically.
GPRS connections can generate extra charges. Please contact your service provider
for more information.
