The hands-free mode does not seem to work. What could be the reason for that?
Probably the handset is connected to the wrong port.
When operating the PTCarPhone 3 with only one handset, you must connect it to the electronics box (TPU) - not to the VDA cable. The port on the VDA cable is designed for connecting an additional handset.

Is it possible to update the firmware of the PTCarPhone 3?

Is it possible to add GPRS settings of additional providers?
Yes, due to advanced menus it is possible to change and edit a lot of settings, e.g. GPRS internet settings, via the handset. In the case of GPRS settings, please take the user manual (section 9.9 Internet) for help.
